Birthday/Christmas weekend

My birthday is Christmas Eve, and this year may have been the best yet.  I think it's because it was my first birthday as a family of 3.  In the morning, we headed to Downtown Disney for breakfast.  We headed over to Goofy's Kitchen.  It's a great place for kids since Disney characters come to your table to take pictures.  Baby C was a scared of them, but the characters were good at playing peek-a-boo and giving high fives so Baby C was starting to get comfortable with them.  Afterwards, we walked around Downtown Disney, which was nice.

In the evening, D and I dropped off Baby C at my parents' house for a nice sushi dinner.  It was good to go out with just the two of us.  The sushi bar was pretty empty since it was Christmas Eve, but the food was so good.  The sushi bar was all "omakase" or chef's choice, so we got to try out new things, which were all delicious.

The next day was Christmas.  We headed over to D's parents' house for lunch, and then to my parents' house for dinner.  I had a horrible night because I ended up getting food poisoning.  That whole night, I was lying in my parents' bed trying to sleep off the nausea and running to the bathroom to throw up.  Not a pretty sight.  I think I had nothing in my system by the end of the night.  I felt so weak.  Today, I feel better, but the nausea still lingers.  Hope I'll be okay for work tomorrow.

Happy 11 months to Baby C!

Wow...I can't believe that Baby C is now 11 months old.  Time has flown by!  He'll be turning 1 in a month...and now I'm planning his 1st birthday party.

As I wrote on my previous post, Baby C had his first trip to the emergency room.  He is now doing much better.  No more wheezing or breathing difficulties.  Thank goodness!  However, we're more aware whenever he coughs.  We're prepared for his next cold, but hopefully, it won't be as bad as the last one.

Baby C is more interactive.  He can now clap, raise his hands in the air, high five, and wave on command.  He does not have stranger anxiety.  He actually likes to meet new people.  It's funny how nosy he can be at restaurants.  We always catch him peeking into other people's booths and interacting with them.  At least, it makes other people happy.  Baby C is also cruising everywhere.  He can stand on his own for a few seconds, but is too scared to take a step forward.  He does climb up our stairs, but is unable to come back down.  I can see him walking soon...I just wonder if it'll be before or after his 1 year birthday.

We spent Thanksgiving with my in-laws, and Baby C was more interested in my brother-in-law's dog, Teddy.  Funny thing was that Teddy was scared of Baby C.

Well, it's time for the holiday season, and we can't wait to celebrate our first Christmas together.
