Congratulations Koyuki!

This post is long overdue.  On May 15, 2011, my parents' dog, Koyuki, graduated from obedience school.  She did so well.  D, Baby C and I came out to support her.  During the exam, she had to Sit, Stay, Watch Me, Leave It, Down and Come.  It was fun watching the dogs obey their owners.  Even Baby C was so intent on watching them.

Happy Mother's Day

This year was my very first Mother's Day, and it was a very nice and relaxing day.  We went out to Break of Dawn for brunch, and then headed to Irvine Spectrum to walk around.  We also got some dessert...a delicious candy apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.  My favorite!  Baby C did well the whole day and even smiled for strangers.  :)  Looking forward to many more Mother's Days in the future.

It was at the end of the day, so I look pretty sleepy here.
But I had to get a pic with Baby C on our first Mother's Day.

Children's/Boy's Day 5-5-2011

May 5 is more commonly known as Cinco De Mayo here in California, but it's also Children's/Boy's Day in the Japanese culture.  It is a day set aside to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness.  To celebrate Baby C's first Boy's Day, my mom bought him a "koi nobori."  It is a carp-shaped flag, which is usually flown the day before the official day.  The black carp represents the father, the red carp represents the mother, and the blue carp represents the son.  The carp is known to swim upstream, which symbolizes a healthy and strong boy.

Happy Anniversary D!

It's been 2 years since D and I tied the knot!  I can't believe we are settled in our home and have a beautiful baby...Life is complete (well, almost...we can add another baby to our family)!  Hee hee.

We celebrated last night at Roy's Restaurant.  The food was delicious...their chocolate souffle was amazing.

Happy 4 Months to Baby C!

Yesterday, Baby C turned 4 months old.

Baby C
Time flies so fast!  His 4 month well-baby check is tomorrow, but I know he's more than doubled his birth weight.  He can now:

- smile socially
- coo, especially in the mornings
- occasionally giggle
- wakes up about once or twice during the night

The family and I went out to Downtown Disney yesterday to take a stroll.  I loved hanging out at Downtown Disney and cannot wait to get our annual passes again once Baby C is older.
